Potential puppy buyers are encouraged to read the GSMDCA Breeding Guidelines* to help them in the selection of a reputable breeder. The GSGSMDC is not an ethics club and therefore does not police, endorse or recommend any advertiser or their breeding practices.

The breeders listed on our website follow these guidelines:

• Have been a member in good standing for 2 years.

• Have either had a GSMD litter in the past year, or plan a litter within a year

• Display good sportsmanship and safe, sensible behavior.

• Respect fellow breeders and members: ensure that publicly shared assessments (including, but not limited to, social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, websites and the like) refrain from destructive criticism of another’s dog and personal attacks upon fellow members and breeders.

• Represent the breed with honesty when promoting the breed. Education involves traits, characteristics and habits both good and bad.
